David Sontani Perdanakusuma is a competent plastic surgeon from UNAIR that is often quoted by the media. In addition to teaching, the author of at least eight books is also active in conducting research and community service. He organized 10 large-scale community service activities in the range of 2006 to 2014, at regional/national level. The intellectual property includes the use of Hydroquinone for Preventing and Treating Keloids, Copyright for Wound Manequin, Copyright for Wound Poster, Copyright for Interactive CD on Emergency Breathing (Module 1), and Copyright for Interactive CD & E Circulation (Module 2). David said, the application of plastic surgery was originated from the efforts in structure reconstruction of human body parts. For example, for those who were disfigured in an accident or a birth condition that needs to be addressed. As well as those who were born with cleft or without ears. Along the way, plastic surgery also covers the field of aesthetic. It provides service to people who in their own willingness want to improve the face or body parts.
